Meghalaya, the abode of the clouds, is home to beautiful peaks and lakes. Explore how Mother Nature crafted its peaks beautifully and created a beautiful equilibrium between everything at Meghalaya and its city capital, Shillong.
Cherapunjee is a place of breathtaking waterfalls, panoramic views of the surrounding hills, and lush greenery.
Itinerary Itinerary
1Arrive at Guwahati Airport & visit Kamakhya Temple, Tirupati Balaji Temple, Nabagraha Temple, Umananda temple, and Sukreswar Temple (The 6th Jyotirlinga of Shiva).
Afternoon we suggest an optional tour of the Golden sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra (Direct Payment by own).
We are then headed for Shillong. On the outskirt of Shillong halt at the Borapani Umiam Lake, a tranquil lake surrounded - by sylvan hills.
You can enjoy boating and take a stroll on the beautiful lake. Night stay at Shillong.
Post breakfast explore Mawlyynong, visit Living root bridge, and Mawlynnong Village Asia's cleanest village.
The residents literally farm on the edges of these mist-shrouded cliffs that plunge sharply into the valley, later drive to Dawki, visitUmngot river & Boating popular for clean water, and local sightseeing at Dawki.
Also, visit the Bangladesh border. Night stay at Shillong.
Post breakfast in the morning; hit the road to Cherrapunjee, the heaviest rainfall destination in the world Cherrapunjee possesses some exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves.
At Cherrapunjee visit Nohkalikai falls, being the world’s fourth tallest waterfall, visit Eco park, Seven Sister falls and Mawsmai cave. Night stay at Cherrapunji.
Early morning head to Tyrna village, a ½ hr drive away from Cherrapunji.
From there it will take a relaxed 1.5 hr walk down to the Nongriat Village and then a 2hr walk up to reach the double-decker Root Bridge.
The path to the double-decker root bridge is 3Kilometers long and has around 3,500 stairs, and descends 2,400 feet.
Another 1 hour of trek approx. 3 km from the double-decker bridge to visit beautiful and scenic Rainbow falls.
Post-activity trek back to Tyrna village and later drive to Cherapunji. Night stay Cherrapunji.
Post breakfast drive to laitlum Grand Canyon.
The Laitlum Canyons is one such spot from where the vast, verdant, and fascinating panorama of Meghalaya can be viewed and admired.
This exotic site is less crowded and less commercial, thus offering a serene, secluded spot for some quiet, peaceful moments.
The scenic hill slopes of Laitlum are often called the amphitheater of Meghalaya.
Later drive to Guwahati & drop at Airport / Railway Station as per schedule.

- Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides,road blockage, political, disturbances (strikes), etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot).
- Any increase in taxes or fuel price, leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure. view More
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation should be notified to us by mail or fax.
- Only communication charges will be Rs. 2000 per person 30 or more days before departure.
- Due to weather conditions, covid restrictions, and government restrictions, some activities may get canceled. We will try to offer an alternate activity in such cases. But no refund shall be generated for the same.
- All our cancellation rules are mentioned above. But we will try our best to make our cancellation charges minimal for you.
Cancellation Fees
- 30-15 days before departure: 30% of the tour cost will get charged as the cancellation
- 14-07 days prior to departure: 60% of the tour cost will get charged as the cancellation
- 07-01 days before departure: 100% of the tour cost will get charged as the cancellation
